Our Story

Merkepli Farm is where our dreams have come true. By escaping our big city life to a rural retreat, we have realized a dream we have had for many years.

Our Hotel

Our hotel is built on a 6300m2 plot of land and is surrounded by a large garden which we share with our dogs, cats, donkeys and chickens. From the terrace at the back of the house, there is a panoramic view of Mount Ida across lush green fields and the sounds of birds, sheep, cows and goats. We have built the hotel to fit in with the traditional stone houses in the area and enjoy living in direct contact with the soil and sharing our new lifestyle with our friends.

Your Stay With Us

We invite you to stay in one of the 4 rooms we have prepared for you so that you can enjoy first-hand the natural beauty of this location. You can experience village life for yourself, and explore many ancient sites in the local area, such as Assos, Troy, Apollon Smintheion and other sites of interest.

Welcoming and Farewell Team

When you reach Merkepli Farm, you may see two tails wagging; that will be Uno and Duo, waiting for you with love and excitement.

They are very friendly, and will definitely want to sniff you to say hello!

Wake Up Team

Of our two donkeys, Kadife is the naughtiest and Fadime is the oldest. Sometimes they will interrupt your conversation with their braying and sometimes they will seem to talk to you.

Don’t forget to say goodbye to them when you leave!
